Idiot boys attack Joe Telfer
Looks like JT had a lucky escape after being pushed off the river wall on Saturday evening, while caring the swans.
It sounds like the sort of stupid act that can initially seem like a funny thing to do – after all, what’s more brave than a couple of young men pushing a much older man over for a laugh?
However, a point made is that water courses invariably can pose a serious hazard for the debris and junk that settles on the bottom. It doesn’t matter whether it’s a pond, canal, river, or stream – if you don’t know what’s in there, you don’t jump in – and certainly don’t push others in.
It seems that Joe was more shaken than anything for the incident, but his camera may have been damaged. Hopefully that will not mean a break in his tales of the riverbank.
