Interesting to see our local MP at the centre of the existing talks between the Conservatives and Liberal Democrats, according to the BBC reporting:

Tories and Lib Dems hold more power-sharing talks

The Lib Dem leader has said the Conservatives, as the biggest party, have the right to seek to form a government first.

His negotiating team includes Danny Alexander, home affairs spokesman Chris Huhne, Mr Laws and Andrew Stunnell.

They have met the Tory team – Shadow Foreign Secretary William Hague, Shadow Chancellor George Osborne, policy chief Oliver Letwin and chief of staff Ed Llewellyn – three times, assisted by civil servants as agreed in the arrangements for a hung parliament.
