STV features the story Scot escapes Haiti earthquake nightmare, but what isn’t revealed is that he’s a Nairnite whose children go to Millbank.

I was speaking to his ten year old daughter today and she was thrilled that he’d got back home – he’d been away on business for a long time, and then to hear about the devastating earthquake in Haiti must have been extremely worrying.

It sounds like he had an amazing amount of luck, from the timing of his exit from the office block, to his arrangement by the British Embassy to leave the country via the US without a passport.

Always good to have good news stories after a terribly event like this, but for those who remain there, difficult times ahead indeed.
