Sonny Seagul dies
Sad news for those of us who were following the story of the rescue of Sonny Seagul on Simply Superb Swans – alas, Sonny has died.
It was a surprisingly touching story, with a variety of roller coasters, as Sonny appeared to be gaining health, only to relapse to an infection, seemed to be getting better, and then dying of possible kidney issues.
Despite that set back, JayTee has just rescued a pink-footed goose that appears to have broken its wing.
Simply Superb Swans has been increasingly capturing the heart of wild Nairn, with recent pictures on the seal pup salmon fishing along the river, along with familiar stories about the local swans and their growing family.
Certainly worth keeping an eye out on, for some of the more genteel reading of Nairn online.
