Snows settle for winter

After a brief appearance in October, when Ben Wyvis was peaked with a temporary cap of snow, it looks as though they have now returned for the winter.

At the end of last week I could taste the ice in the air. On Saturday, there was a brief storm of hail, and Sunday felt freezing cold.

It’s warming up slightly today (Wednesday), but now that it’s December, and the cold winds are blowing in proper, the expectation is that Ben Wyvis will remain snow-peaked until well into spring next year.
