Major bridge works coming soon

A heads up of potential major traffic disruption to the Kessock and Cromaty bridges early next year:

Bridge repairs ‘will not clash’

Repairs to two major road bridges in the Highlands will not happen at the same time, Transport Scotland has said.

Preparatory work ahead of full-scale refurbishment could be carried out on the Cromarty Bridge next year.

Resurfacing work on the A9 Kessock Bridge has been scheduled for spring 2011.

Transport Scotland said the repairs would not coincide and efforts would be made to ease disruption to traffic on both crossings.
