Flood alerts along Moray Coast

The rain has been continuous for over 24 hours now, and there are flood warnings for Nairn and Findhorn, and severe flood warnings for the Rivers Lossie and Spey:

The Mosset Burn in Forres
The Brothock Water including the Arbroath area
The River Tyne at Haddington
The River Oykel from Oykel Bridge to Inveroykel and Invercassley
The River Nairn from Firhall foot bridge to Nairn Bridge
The River Isla from Bridge of Ruthven to the River Tay


SEVERE FLOOD WARNINGS Currently in Force Across Scotland : (5)
The Rivers Avon and Fiddich
The River Lossie upstream of Elgin
The River Lossie at Elgin
The River Spey from downstream of Grantown to Fochabers
The River Spey from downsteam of Fochabers to Spey Bay

The rain appears to be easing up, however, but reports of high tides this weekend don’t bode well for Fishertown.
