Disturbing reports and images at both the Gurn from Nurn and Simply Swans covering a sewage leak into the river.
The words “raw sewerage” doesn’t seem adequate to describe the fact that wastes from local toilets is currently going straight into the river.
The suggestion that this is being caused by “fat” somehow seems like an excuse.
Thank goodness the weather has been poor during this spill – would have been shocking to take the children paddling in the sea only to find out about this later.
In the meantime, let’s hope the water quality wasn’t being tested for next years beach ratings …
