Days of Thunder …
The rain has been absolutely hammering down tonight… Today itself was punctuated by warm sunny spells and overcast periods… Wouldn’t be surprised if tomorrow, in a small piece on the BBC, we find it reported that we’ve had 2 months of rain in an hour… Ironic – not long ago I reported that in almost [...]
New Vegetarian Range at Morrisons
Morrisons in Inverness have now expanded their range of vegetarian foods available from the store. While it tends to be more focused on frozen meals (aubergine lasagne, pasta, etc) there are a few new burger styles, including one I’ve not seen elsewhere. Which is, admittedly, only a few years – but previous instances of thunder I’ve heard I could count on two fingers, whereas today it rumbled through, hour after [...]
Lossiemouth spaceport under threat?
The potential development of a spaceport at Lossiemouth is an exciting prospect, and one that could only make the Scottish government treat the eastern Highlands with a bit more respect than it currently does (ie, on transport issues!). However, Will Whitehorn, president of Virgin Galactic, has warned that the UK does not have the legislation [...]
