I've always wondered at their ability to sell it against the wishes of the people of Nairn, who in fact actually own it. Or maybe I misunderstand how the ownership works.

I do think this is an old rerun BUT what is interesting is that it quotes:

Planning - Highland Council received outline planning permission in October 2003 for mixed use development for residential, business park, and community use at Sandown, Nairn.

Tracing that 2003 planning application has been very difficult indeed. If anyone has a copy of the notification or a copy of the application or the Planning Committees decision - the NRCG would be very pleased to hear from them. Any information please email me.

Thanks John Hart

Well spoted Brian.
If it is for sale again will the Highland Council consult the Community this time round as they are the trustees of this common good land on our behalf?
