Another big house for sale
Another big villa behind Sandown land is up for sale – it’s another big price as well, going for offers around £895,000:
Alltan Donn House, Altonburn Road, Nairn, Highland, IV12 5NB
Seems a little over-priced, but it’ll be interesting to see whether it has to come down as other properties have done so recently.
While the price of ordinary property in Nairn doesn’t appear to be falling – certainly not the asking prices anyway – the extra labels on the HSPC site suggest that the market is extremely slow at present, with a number of properties failing to sell, and others trying to incentivise a faster sale:
In the meantime, a property associated with Dr Grigor is also on the market, though at £600,000, not the most affordable.

Sold for £250,000ish ten years ago but that’s house price inflation for you – but, in the current climate, is it realistic?
Lovely house , and many a happy hour Spurtle spent there in the past with previous owners but , like most houses in its sector ( when first coming to the market anyway) the price is breathakingly OTT.
