Inverness Airport…

I’m always greatly unimpressed how poor the retail facilities are within Inverness Airport once you go through security.

Rather than have a shop, it’s a bar – with more varieties of whisky available than soft drinks.

And especially no range for children. (Though quite a range of salmon products.)

Don’t forget the insane mark-up, either – £3 for a sandwich, and £2.50 for a small bottle of juice.

Will be great to see the retail facilities expanded, if Inverness Airport really wants to be taken seriously for leisure use by families flying out.

And business people who need to use it to get to London, etc.

Would be nice to think of the locals, on top of trying to cut the purses of the tourists, thanks. :)

Think you’ll find that here in Scotland Brian we have whisky not whiskey :)

but back to your point… I have never been bothered by the lack of facilities past security in any airport. Most of the time you are not there for long and if your flight is seriously delayed you can always go back out of the area providing you don’t mind a second security check

Considering you can’t take drinks through security, it’s an outrage you only have that crappy little bar with its huge mark-ups. Being diabetic, I’m constantly paranoid I’ll need to eat or drink something while waiting, and buying on the plane is just as expensive.
