A96 Corridor Masterplan featured on BBC

Coverage of the developments under the A96 Corridor masterplan is featured on the BBC website today:

War zone to £3.1bn planning strip

It doesn’t really add anythng, as much as act as a general summary, which is fine as a reference.

While there are various objections and contentions raised about the project, something I couldn’t help notice is the reference to all this taking place over 30-35 years and costing £3.1 billion, with £500 in projects already under review by the planning system.

In which case, what else is being earmarked for development if all of the summarised projects represent only about 1/6th of the expected development costs?

Or, are these mainly centered around the building and expansion of a Tornagrain New Town?
