Lochloy Road traffic lights out – again

Just a heads up that the traffic lights at Lochloy Road are out again.

While this mainly causes problems for traffic moving out of Lochloy Road and Dunbar Avenue areas, it’s worth remembering the problems that occurred last time this issue was “fixed”.

For those with short memories, the traffic light sequence was set up incorrectly to give priority against the A96, making Nairn even more of a bottleneck than it already is.

However, perhaps we’ll be lucky this time and the lights will be fixed – properly – sooner, rather than later.

One of my children noticed a red light hanging off yesterday, while the lights were still working, so hopefully it’s a basic wiring issue, and there will be no need to dig up the road surface again this time!

Traffic lights working again, as of 15:20 – however, one of the red lights for west to east traffic flow is still broken, so watch out for that.

Is this 15:20 vision, the year 1520, or have we all sussed how to read the time in hundred hours? :)
